15 Temmuz Şehitleri ve Demokrasi Museum

The Kahramankazan “July 15 Martyrs and Democracy Museum” was established to convey to future generations the heroic struggle of our nation against the treacherous coup attempt of July 15, 2016. Located in Kahramankazan, Ankara, and opened to visitors on July 16, 2019, this monumental structure is a symbol of national will and the victory of democracy.

Architecture and Content Focused on Experience

Covering a total area of 7635 square meters, with 3600 square meters of indoor space, our museum attracts attention with its modern architecture. In terms of content, visitors are offered an impressive experience that lets them relive the night of July 15 minute by minute:

Striking Narrative: The halls feature a timeline of that night, photo narratives supported by sound effects, and glass installations.

Traces of Heroes: The personal belongings and photographs of the nine martyrs of Kahramankazan are on display. In addition, interviews recounting the experiences of our veterans and photographs of all our martyrs are featured in this center of democracy.

Digital Access: Visitors can access archival information about July 15 and watch the President's speech about that night via kiosks.

The museum also hosts educational programs and events with facilities such as a 340-person conference hall and a children's workshop.
